What are the differences between the Air Runner Pro and the Air Runner Elite?
Both the Air Runner Pro and Air Runner Elite are fully self-powered curved treadmills designed for natural, high-intensity training. The Elite model, however, offers several premium upgrades that make it better suited for commercial environments and elite-level use:
- Significantly improved performance monitor that delivers more accurate and responsive feedback to better reflect competition-level training data.

What is the difference between a self-powered treadmill and a standard, motorised treadmill?
A self-powered treadmill is driven entirely by the user’s movement rather than an electric motor. As you walk or run, your force moves the belt, meaning your speed and intensity are controlled naturally by your stride. This creates a more responsive, realistic running experience and allows you to instantly speed up or slow down without pressing buttons. Self-powered treadmills require no electricity, making them energy-efficient, low-maintenance, and easy to place anywhere.
A standard motorised treadmill, on the other hand, uses an electric motor to move the belt at a set speed chosen by the user. The treadmill determines the pace, and the runner must keep up with it. While motorised treadmills are great for steady-state cardio and structured programs, they can feel less natural and are limited by the motor’s speed changes.
Overall, self-powered treadmills are ideal for high-intensity training, sprinting, and functional workouts, while motorised treadmills are better suited to controlled, pace-based running and incline walking.
What is the maximum speed of a self-powered treadmill?
Unlimited! You can run as fast as humanly possible on a self-powered treadmill and it should keep up with you – therefore the maximum speed limit is only ever restricted to the user’s running speed and ability.
